CoEd's 2012-17 Strategic Plan Enhancing our ability to achieve our mission
With your support, Cooperative for Education has carried out the mission of helping Guatemalan schoolchildren break the cycle of poverty through education for the past 16 years. To propel us into the future, we have established a new Strategic Plan with these four initiatives that will provide guidance for the next five years.
1. Focus on Microregions: Geographically focusing future growth into concentrated areas will allow our programs to work collaboratively, maximizing impact and cost-effectiveness. (Note: We'll continue to work in all the schools and regions that currently house CoEd programs.)
2. Expand the Scholarship Program: More youth will have the opportunity to complete their education when the scholarship program expands to several times its current size. 
3. Expand Textbook Teacher Training: By providing more comprehensive teacher training as part of our Textbook Program, the quality of secondary education will further improve.
4. Build Strategic Relationships: Through partnerships with select nonprofit organizations and the Guatemalan government, we can enhance the scope and depth of our impact.
